James is a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law and is a co-founder of WLW Migration Lawyers. He has significant experience in all areas of migration law with a particular focus on complex tribunal appeals, litigation and company compliance.

Since starting practice in 2012, James has worked as a lawyer at Victoria Legal Aid and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. He presented at the 2017 National Annual Migration Law Conference on the future of Migration Lawyer in Australia and has been a finalist for the Law Institute of Victoria Rising Star Award twice, in 2015 and 2019. James regularly presents at industry seminars and education sessions on immigration legal issues. He has been briefed as expert witness in immigration law and also been interviewed by SBS World News regarding immigration legal issues in Australia.

When he is not working, James enjoys slamming pucks around with his Ice Hockey team, plummeting down mountain bike trails and surfing on weekends. If you are lucky you might even catch him playing saxophone with his band!
