Serena Lim

Paralegal

Serena is a second year Juris Doctor student at the University of Melbourne Law School. She completed her undergraduate studies in Linguistics and Literature at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

Her interest in migration law is shaped by her own experience of moving between countries and adapting to life as a migrant. Having grown up in Indonesia and later studying in South Korea and Australia, Serena has a personal understanding of the challenges many migrants face when navigating unfamiliar legal and social systems. Prior to her role, Serena has experiences working in a refugee and a statelessness legal centre, and is passionate on assisting clients.

Serena speaks English and Korean fluently and has conversational skills in Indonesian. Outside of work she enjoys singing, writing, and exploring Melbourne’s diverse food culture.
