Mai completed her JD at Melbourne Law School and Practical Legal Training at Leo Cussen Centre for Law in 2022 and was admitted to the legal profession in 2023. Mai also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, majoring in Politics and International Studies from the University of Melbourne.

Prior to WLW Migration Lawyers, Mai worked for several international organisations that embraced multiculturalism and diversity, which has strongly influenced her career path.  She is interested in global migration governance and how the current norms and practices of global institutions can have an impact on migration policies worldwide.
