We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our supportive, collaborative team in our Migration Paralegal role on a 4 or 5 day per week basis in West Melbourne.
The role:
We are seeking an experienced paralegal with a flair for problem solving, who is detail oriented and has strong communication skills. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the legal office as well as assisting with the legal and administrative requirements of the professional legal staff. In particular, you will support and work closely with our migration lawyers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritise daily tasks to ensure all important deadlines are met are essential skills for this role. You will also be expected to demonstrate initiative and a careful eye for detail.

Key responsibilities:
- Support the legal practitioners with their legal client work including by undertaking research, reviewing documents, drafting letters and other such tasks as directed
- Receive incoming phone calls including from existing and prospective clients
- Meet with clients for appointments
- Liaise with external parties on behalf of the firm including interpreter agencies, doctors, psychologists, caseworkers and others
- Undertake administrative duties such as filing, data entry and photocopying
- Other duties from time to time

Salary and benefits:
- FTE $60,000-$70,000 plus superannuation per annum, (pro-rated if part-time)
- Flexible hours: we are offering either part-time (minimum 4 days per week) or full-time (37.5 hours over 5 days per week) and are open to discussion on how this might work for you
